What an amazing person.
She's been my friend since kindergarten, and we'll be friends forever without a doubt.
She's an AMAZING swimmer, and I'm proud to call her my friend :)
She is a truly kind hearted person and cares about everyone.
She is freaking amazing in every single way, and without her in my life, I'm not even sure what I'd do.
I'll never forget the many memories we made in middle school. My favorite would have to be singing duets with her in choir and being President and Vice President together.
But, we had many great memories.

Wow.
High school.
TONS of drama.
But I love it so much more than middle school!
Wanna hear somethin a little crazy??
At least, it's crazy to me....
I just barely filled out my REGISTRATION CARD for my JUNIOR YEAR.

which means my sophomore year is almost over.
which means 2 more years of high school.
.......
WEIRD.
Everyone was right.... it does go by so super fast!!

Now i'm gonna blog about seminary today. We had a shortened period, so she had to shorten the lesson... which was a bummer.... cuz it was a good one! and for once, our class was quiet!
We talked about the atonement. And how He went through all of that just for us.
But she pointed something out that kinda made me rethink a lot of things!!
Jesus atoned for all of our sins, but not only that, He went through the pains we are going through right now. He knows EXACTLY how it feels. He knows how much it hurts. Or whatever you might be going through. He knows.
It made me stop and think about the things I'm going through and have went through. He had to feel the same pains I did, so He knows exactly how I feel. It gives me hope, hope that I'll be able to get through the trials, hope that He will help me to get through them. He would never give us something that we couldn't handle.
So.... when you're having a really rough day, where nothing is going right, just think. He knows exactly what that's like, and will always be there for you. He'll help you get through them, so just have faith and put your trust in Him and you'll be just fine! :)

Anywho!! The church is true and i love you... haha :D that's what my Oakcrest counselor always used to tell me.
Sorry.... that was so random. I just felt like I should blog about it. Because I really really enjoyed the lesson. And.. I don't know. Haha.

Drill Team Baby!!!!! :)

So we had a competition on Friday... :) IT WAS AMAZING!!

For those of you who don't know, last year, Copper Hills got around 9th in every routine. Not even close to placing. And Bingham ALWAYS got top three in every dance.

Okay.

So here's what we placed on Friday:

Hip Hop = FIRST :)

Officers = SECOND :)

Military = you're never gonna believe this...

We got second.... but guess who got fourth??
BINGHAM!!!! AHHHHH!!!!!!!!! WE BEAT BINGHAM!!!!!!!!!!!

Dance = Sixth :( ALMOST placed. but we have time til region.

Kick = k... um..... we changed our whole routine a week before competition....

so we only got 9th :(

BUT!!

we beat Bingham in military, no one got penalties.

so... they are beatable.

we have a week and a half til region...... i'm sooooooo pumped!!!

copper hills has gotten so far this year!! and we're not gonna stop til we get our school a flag!!!!

So Christmas is in 3 days... but uh i haven't got ANY of my friend presents yet!! UH OH!!!! Tomorrow... that's when I'll get them...... tomorrow.

Copper Hills Drill Team is gonna be unstoppable!!!
At our first competition, we placed top 3 in every single dance!! First in hip hop!!!!
At our second competition, even with a penalty, we got 3rd in hip hop. Then we got 6th in kick and military, and 9th in dance because we got another penalty.
BUT!! if that would have been region, we would have gotten SECOND!!!!!!!
woot.

Hmm....
I like Taylor Swift.
Well..... k..... I like her music.... not so much her.

Competition Season???

Oh my... So drill competitions start in 2 weeks from Saturday!!!
THAT'S INSANE!!

All the work that's been put into drill is finally going to pay off!!!
I'm just scared to death.

I'm in military and hip hop so far.... and in military, we have to do headstands.

They're a big part of military.

If someone falls out, we get docked points.

Well.... Miss Kenzie here hasn't got her headstands solid yet...

And competition is in two weeks....

So I'm gonna talk to Aubrey about it tomorrow.... I don't want to make the team lose just because of a headstand. So i might not be in military..... but life will go on, right?? :)

I'm so excited though.

I LOVE competition season!!!

It's very intense and stressful... but when you're out there dancing, you feel the adrenaline rush, and it's just fun.

We're also going to FLORIDA in March!! For 4 days!! And Disneyworld for 3!!! WOOOTT!!

It's just crazy to believe that half of the drill season is over! All those long hours in the summer are finally gonna pay off!! All those early morning practices where I had to wake up at 3 are going to pay off!! All the days I came home nearly in tears are going to pay off!! YAY!!!!

The Azurettes are going to be unstoppable this year.... just wait and see... cuz we're coming! :)

K so i'm not the biggest Taylor Swift fan personally....
BUT HAVE YOU HEARD HER NEW CD???!!?
It's pretty much amazing.

My favorite songs right now from her cd are Fearless, Hey Stephen, Love Story, and Fifteen. They're all at the bottom. You should listen to them, you'd be surprised, I was. :) I LOVE THEM!!!

Wow I haven't blogged in so long!! I've been super busy.... before and after school practices everyday?? not fun. I'm at the school for about 12 hours a day.
I say that this should be illegal.

The region dance last week was interesting...

I only danced with two people!!!
And there was again.. a lot of drama.

Sadie Hawkins!!! :)

Before you start saying "Kenzie went to Sadies?!? She's not 16 yet!!", just know that I had to be there for drill, but I didn't take a date, so I didn't break the rules :D

Anyways.

Sadie Hawkins! :D it was SOOOO much fun!!
Well...
the day activities were fun.... the dance was kinda lame to be honest.

Since I'm not 16, I didn't have a date or a group... so my friend Tori on drill said I could be in her group!!!

What we did first was laser tag!! :D they picked me up at about 12:30, and we went to Laser Quest in Sandy. It was tons of fun!! But it was kinda sad... there was a birthday party there with a bunch of little boys, and they all beat us....
There were probably around 30 people in each game, and I was ranked 21 both times....
Haha.
But hey, it was tons of fun!!

Then we decided to go to the movies. They chose to watch Max Payne... I ended up walking out with Shannon because it was kinda creepy and scary and just... not my type of movies.
So we went and watched the beginning of HSM3 :D

To be honest.....
I want to see the whole thing now!
It was a lot better than the second one... and it was really funny surprisingly.

Then.... my favorite part of the day......
We went to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner :D

It was DELICIOUS.
I had macaroni with meat sauce, bread, salad with creamy pesto dressing, and then my favorite kind of ice cream, spummoni!!! :)
It was just under ten dollars.... which was pretty expensive for a 15 year old girl.... but it was worth the money :)

Then... we went to the dance.
We got in free because we're on drill, and then took the team picture.
It was fun.
Then, we all went inside the gym for the dance....
Crysten was my date because she didn't ask anyone either!!!
Heehee.
So on all the slow songs, we would dance and it was just funny...
Then on the fast songs, they all got into it and I didn't cuz I was tired... so they kept trying to get me to dance... and yeah. It was kinda funny to be honest!!

The dance ended at 10, we got the decorations down super fast, and then we could leave. Everyone wanted to go bowling, but me and Tori were much too tired... so they dropped me home and I got there around 10:30!!

Body Works Museum!!!

Today was a fun day!!! :)

I was textin my friend Cody, and he told me he was going to the Body Works museum.
I didn't have anything going on, so he asked if I wanted to come along.
I'm not gonna lie, it was really awkward at first.
It was just me, Cody, his dad Kevin, and sister Kelsey.
Except Cody wouldn't really talk to me in the car....
So it was awkward.
But when we got there, he talked, so its okay. :)
We had to go downtown...
It was expensive but soooo worth it!

I didn't know if I would handle it well...
If you didn't know, the Body Works museum has... well.... dead people!! It shows the muscles and bones and everything of the human body.
Including blood vessels and "lovely" things like that.
I was almost positive that my stomach wouldn't handle it.
But, I didn't throw up once,
and to be honest.....
I thought it was really really cool!!!!!

Yeppers.
Anywho.... mommy's asking for the computer.

Region Dance??

Last night's region dance was.... interesting.
Lots of drama.
Not just lots.
TONS!
But it was pretty fun other than that.
I cried though! :O

I danced with a ton of people I don't even know!! They all went to Bingham.... hmm.....
And I danced with Casey, Cody, and Logan. Awkwardness...

The new year's eve dance is at my stake!!! i'm super excited.

So I'm gonna write about my week.
It's been AMAZING!!!!!!
I love every single second of it.
And to tell you the truth, this is one of the weeks i've actually wanted to go to school!

Kenzie has a new crush!!!
His name... well his name isn't important cuz I don't want the whole world knowing.
But he's a cutie and a sweetheart!!
Hehe.. today we actually had an arm wrestling match.... and he let me win. So he bought me skittles :D
And he just got a new shih-tzu puppy yesterday, and next week i'm gonna go see Bella!!!! :D
He showed me a picture..... she's soooo cute!! She looks like Murphy did as a puppy.
And he is just a nice kid. Really good standards. Good family. And he just makes me smile!

Enough about boys. They have cooties :D
Lucky me, we have a 5 hour practice tomorrow :( on our day off!!!
Not very fun.
But it will make us stronger.... hopefully.

This is me and McKenzee Mae Burton.
She's probably been my best friend the longest out of anyone.
We danced together for quite some time!
She quit a few years ago, and we still talked and hung out, but not nearly enough.
In fact, it's been over a year since I've seen her.
Today it hit me, hard.
I really miss her!
It's her sister, McKamree's birthday today. Kam is like my little sister.
It makes me sad, i'm missing them growing up!!

Rise and Shout!!

Today was thee first BYU football game of the season. (:

I woke up today around 12:30... ya I know.... way late. But it was good, I needed the sleep BADLY. So I got up. My madre informed me that I needed to be ready by about 1:30. She also said that we have an extra ticket and I could invite someone... so I invited my dearest friend Kaitlyn. (:

I got all ready. I finished at exactly 1:30, hair still wet, but I was ready. Kait came over and we drove off. I was kinda sad... because my phone fell behind my bed and I COULDN'T GET IT. So I was phoneless.. haha.

Soooo when we got there.. we parked and walked to the stadium. It wasn't too far of a walk. We got there, and I was already hot. It was BURNIN UP out there... hahaha. But it was totally worth it.

I can't remember too much of the game........ I kinda spaced out a lot and all of 2nd quarter, I was downstairs in the shade... haha. But it was fun!! Me and Kait made it fun anyways. I'm so excited. I LOVE football season. With a passion.

Stress??

Holy tomato. Today has been a pretty rough day.
For one thing, it's B day. That means we're supposed to have practice after school, not before.
We had to be at the school at 6:30 =/ which isn't as bad as it is on A days, but still.
Then, I switched my World Civ class again. I volunteered (because our class had about 45 kids), but still. New teacher, new classroom to find... not fun.
Anyways...
Then, after school, instead of 30 minutes to get ready for drill, we only had 10.
During those 10 minutes, I remembered I forgot to pay a drill fee.
If I didn't pay the fee, I would get a tardy. I already have one tardy and you can only have 9 tardies the whole year.
Sooo.... I got another tardy. But I don't have to run laps for it!!
Anyways...
Practice was brutal. Hip hop was a mess. We cleaned all 3 hours. We perform tomorrow but we're SO not ready.
And..
to top it all off..
My big brother is moving out tomorrow, and it finally hit me today. I mean, it's totally his decision, but he's my big bro. I love him :(

Oh yeah... and instead of 6:00 tomorrow, we have to be at the school at 5 with HAIR AND MAKEUP DONE for performance. Arg. That means Miss Kenzie here is waking up at.... about 3:30.

First Day of High School Part 1

Well guys.... my first day of my sophomore year is over!! K... halfway over. I still have B day to get through (:

Today wasn't that bad. For the most part, it was kinda boring. Of course I was tired, so everything seemed boring. My favorite class so far is seminary.. :D

But i'll start at the start of the day.

4:30 am. That is when I, Makenzie Carbine, was forced to wake up. Yeppers. 4:30.

I had to set 3 alarms to make sure that I actually woke up. I did, I didn't WANT to, but I did (:

I got all ready, got my school stuff ready and my drill bag, and waited for Jacqui to pick me up at 5:35. We had a normal drill practice, except it was 3 hours instead of 5. It wasn't too bad today....

But. After drill, we only had 25 minutes to get totally ready for school. Hair and everything. Luckily, I straightened my hair the night before, so it was already straight for school.

I went to my second period.... but... I got lost. So i was a few minutes late.

It was AWFUL!! I opened the door, and the class had already began. It was awkward. I found the closest seat that was open and quickly took it.

Language Arts.

It was pretty awkward... I only knew one person, and she was with a friend, and everyone else had friends... except me. So I was quiet.

Then, it was gym.

I knew a few kids: Sam, Kenzie, Michela, Zack, Jayden, and Scott.

So I was pretty happy. At the end, we even got 20 minutes to do whatever, because our class was so ahead.

I was just sitting in the bleachers with my friends when I noticed a girl sitting all by herself...
She looked like she was going to cry....
Sam and I both noticed her at the same time, and both said "Let's go talk to her!!"
Even though they didn't talk much to her, they came and sat by me.
I made a conversation with her!

She is really nice!! She came from a different middle school, so not many of her friends go to Copper Hills.

It was fun, we found a lot to talk about and a lot we have in common!!
Except she's been to EFY, unlike me. I wish I wish.

Anyways....

It felt good. I felt really good.
It totally made my day better.

Then, I had lunch. I quickly found Kaitlyn, who brought me a few dollars since I forgot lunch money (I have such great friends :D)

We ate lunch together, and, in no time, it was over.....

THEN!!!

It was my favorite class.
Seminary!

I had to get directions to the seminary building, because I had no idea where I was at the time. So my good friend Tyler pointed the way out for me (:

I got there, found my class, found a friend, and sat down.

I noticed there was a really familiar looking boy......

"Where have I seen him before??" I kept asking myself.
"He looks sooooo familiar!" also popped into my mind.

Ryan Stowe. It finally hit me. My elementary crush, Ryan Stowe, was in my seminary class. I liked him from 1st grade to 6th grade. Not joking.

He looked much different!! Like me, he now wears contacts. And also like me, he has braces.

I caught him looking at me a few times..... then I even got a smile from him.
I haven't seen him for 3 years, thanks to school boundaries.

It was awkward, I gotta admit..... but I totally just got another crush on him.

Anyways........ my seminary teacher is awesome!! Her name is Sister Finn. She's hilarious!! But such a good teacher.


AND THAT WAS MY FIRST DAY!!
(I even left out a few details!! but this post is getting long.....)

It really wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I mean, I'm alive.... right?
