Well, our drill social went better than I thought!! My absolute favorite part of it was "So You Think You Can Dance" with our coaches, Randi and Aubrey (even though Randi won't be one :( I cried so much yesterday when she told us!). We were all put into groups, then we got a category and made up dances. My group was me, Tara, Jessica, Allison, and Carly. We got Character Jazz and our song was Steam Hot. It was great fun!!! We all acted like the biggest dorks, especially Tara. She made everyone laugh. Then we ate junk food and talked. At the end, we did our Azurette cheer. It's so cute!! I love it! Let's just say that I shouldn't have been afraid of the social.... it was the BEST!
P.S. WE GET TO WEAR OUR SHIRTS ON MONDAY :D I was SOOOOO excited!!

Dance..... Dance?? Dance.
Alrighty... you all know I LOVE dance, right?! It's my life. Well I'm way sad. After next week, I won't be dancing at my studio anymore :( I've cried a lot about it already, especially at last week's practice when my best friend Lexi reminded me it was our last practice (thanks Lex, love you too!! haha :D). I was a mess after practice. It made a lot of my friends cry too (even some from other teams). That was just at practice, I can't even IMAGINE how I'll be at recital!! Nobody better be taking pictures.... because it won't be pretty!!
On Thursday, we had our dance pictures. They were so fun, I got to hang with my little girls and just enjoy myself. If you didn't already know, I'm a student teacher at my studio and I help 2 classes. One is a technique class on Monday, and the other is a jazz class on Thursday (the girls are ADORABLE! They are all around the age of 4-5). Because of Drill, I had to stop teaching on Thursday :( Well this Thursday, I saw them practicing after their pictures and decided to go up and say hi. They all pretty much attacked me!! They were hugging me and asking where I've been. I told them I couldn't help their class and they were all sad, but especially Olivia. Livy is a cutie!! She's got short, blonde hair and big blue eyes. When she found out, she instantly stopped hugging me and just kinda stared at me. "You're not coming back?.... but why?". I had to explain that I had drill team during that time, and she said "Aw..I think I'm going to cry!!!". After her little practice, she decided to stay and sit with me until her mom picked her up. It was cute, she was like a little tiny magnet on me!! She wouldn't let me go!! I had a great time on Thursday. It made me realize how much I love those girls, and how much I'm gonna miss them :(
Tonight is the first little Drill Team party... we have a drill social from 6 to 8, and I'm actually kinda nervous. I only know a few people, and I'm still pretty shy around everyone (crazy huh, me, shy!). But, I guess it's a good way to get to know everyone better. I'm just scared. I'll post about that later :)

My Interesting Week....
Have you ever had one of those days where you feel like you don't belong in the world and no one really cares about you? I'm having that kind of day... except I've had that kind of day all week long. It all started on Tuesday.... we had a choir concert. I really really liked a kid in my class (notice the D on LIKED). His name is Flirty (refer to the nicknames post if you have to). Flirty came over and sat by me while we were waiting for the concert to start. We started talking, just about random stuff. He made me laugh, I blushed a few times (or so I was told). ((Oh yes.... I forgot to add, Flirty has a girlfriend. . . she isn't very nice to me)). Everything was going great I thought, I was so happy, until.... it happened..
Flirty's girlfriend's group sings the song "My Guy". In the song, they have to kiss a boy on the cheek at random times. The boys in choir had to go up unwillingly, and so Flirty had to go up.... in his girlfriend's group. Instead of kissing Flirty on the cheek, she decided to plant one on him. I was not a happy camper. I became sad instantly. I even started crying, I know I know, pathetic. So I was sad. Then, my friend Blondie (refer to the nicknames) told me that I should just go up and tell him the truth: that I liked him. I chickened out (of course). SO she decided to tell him for me......
After school, I was talking to my dear friend Jill. Jill said she talked to Flirty, and that he said he loves me as a friend (cute..) but he could never love me as anything more (harsh...?). That crossed the line. I was BAWLING!!! I couldn't keep the tears in any longer. My good friend Fire came up and was hugging me and comforting me, because I was a mess and needed comforting. It was so sweet of Fire :)
So the next day, I just thought "Forget about it Kenzie, you'll be fine. Just treat it like a normal day.". That's exactly what I did. But, unfortunately, Flirty didn't make eye contact with me, he didn't talk to me, he didn't even really notice I was there. It hurt.
And finally, today I went over to my friend Oompa Loompa's house after school. She lives close to Flirty. So they walk home together. I was SCARED to DEATH!! Talk about awkward.. but instead, he talked to me and it wasn't awkward. He was making jokes, we were all talking, and it was just nice.... which confused me. The day before, he hadn't said a word, today, he was Mr. Social. It made me cry during choir.... I just need to get over this kid and MOVE ON!!!
Okay enough about Flirty.... I'm actually gonna talk about the good things that happened this week. Then, the next day, he walked up to me and Kaitlyn, walked PAST Kaitlyn, and hugged me. Then he turned, awkwardly, and hugged Kaitlyn. :) At lunch that day, I got about 3 more hugs. Then today, when I was sad at lunch, he sat next to me and was there to talk to me. I decided something.. if Ashton cares so much about me and my feelings, maybe I should like a guy like him.... or maybe I should just like HIM! So I've grown a little crush.... :) He is a sweet kid, and such a cutie. He was there for me during my hard times, so I have to make sure I'm always there for him. :) He made my bad week a little better.
Okay enough about boys.... besides, they have cooties.... jk :) I better get going though, I'll post about the "family" thing at our lunch table later :) hahaha. bye.

Drill Team
First week of drill team, complete!! :) Wow am I TIRED!! I've had to juggle regular dance o n Thurday (including teaching on Monday's), drill team practice (Tuesday through Friday), and I just got home from a competition in Provo. Let's see... that is 6 out of 7 days of DANCE!! Ya... it's my life. :)
Let me just tell you how much harder drill really is. We run on the track before every practice, then when we're done, we practice kick line (which takes a lot of stomach strength!!). After, we go across the floor. Then we do turn combinations, fuettes, ballet (holds on releve, ya, they hurt!!), & then the "fun" begins.
Every day, we switch off with a work out "routine". Some days it's sit ups and crunches for stomach strength, others it's arm exercises, and others it's leg exercises. And we usually do them for a whole song. It gets painful and extremely tiring.
The best part is at the end, when we're so tired and have to do frog jumps across the gym and back. That sounds easy... wait til you try it. THEY KILL YOUR THIGHS!! Haha.
I love my new team though... 26 great, happy girls. We all get along pretty darn good!!
Well I better try n' get some sleep... I promise those David Archuleta pictures are coming!!

Best Day EVER!!!!
Alrighty, I'm a huge David Archuleta fan as most of you know, and since he was coming here today, my friend Kaitlyn and I decided to go to Murray High and actually hear him sing and see him!! K, MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Haha. So we got there, and we had to park WAY far away. It was a LONG!! walk. But it was totally worth it. When we got to the school, we went up in the bleachers in the football field and stood out on the end (there were literally no seats!). Big Budda was there and he was counting down the minutes til David got there (which was totally a lie cuz we SAW his limmo drive past us and HE was in it!!!).
Then, he came in. It was a parade, and he was in a convertible. IT WAS AMAZING!! Not a lot of people were screaming at first, so my friends and I started yelling his name... over and over and OVER again!! Finally, he turned and looked DIRECTLY at us!! DIRECTLY!!!!! He flashed his beautiful, heart melting smile, and waved. AT US!!
Then, after the parade was over, he went up on the stage with the mayor of Murray and the governor. They announced that May 9, 2008 would officially be David Archuleta day!! :) I like that. & then, he spoke to us. He was SO humble and SO sweet. He thanked us about a bazillion times!! How cute is he?! Then, HE SANG!! 3 TIMES!! I was screaming and jumping and watching him. He is SO much cuter in person!!! When it was over, he was crying. It was way way way cute!!! Then, we left :( I was disappointed I couldn't give him a hug.... haha.
BUT!! My friend DID get amazing pictures with her digital camera, and as soon as she sends them to me, I'm posting them on here. So stay tuned (grin).
BTW.... wear orange and black.... those are Murray's colors!!! :D

Singin' In the Rain!
K. So today after seminary, it started raining. Since we have to ride a bus from school to seminary and then back, we sometimes get to school early or late. Today, we were early. Since it was raining, my friend Kaitlyn and I both went running through it and at the same time, we started singing 'I'm singing in the rain...' I'm sure you've all heard that song. We were having a blast!! Then, after school, I went to her house so she could help me study for my test in math, and afterwards we jumped on her tramp in pouring rain!! CAN I TELL YOU HOW FUN THAT IS?! Haha. Today was a good day... a really good day!
In other news... my darling dearest Supa' (Oakcrest counselor) is getting MARRIED on SATURDAY!! :D I'm so beyond happy for her and I'm going to her reception. Very excited. :D She's getting married to her missionary, Andy! :) They are very cute together.
And in other news... end of year testing starts tomorrow!! DANG!! Well I guess it's a good thing... it means it's the end of the year. That's awesome!

David Archuleta!!!!
K... I don't watch American Idol that much.... but, I did find out that David Archuleta is an AMAZING singer AND!!! he is pretty darn cute.. am I right?! :) I really hope he wins, because he's such a cool kid and I think he is just great!! VOTE FOR DAVID ARCHULETA!!!!! :D :D :D

Well, I can't sleep, so I thought I'd post tonight. I've heard that blogging is good for the soul... (grin) :)
This post is dedicated to my friends and family!! I've got the best in the world!! And I'm lucky to have each and every one of them!!!
My friends and I all get along, and we can laugh about just about everything!! At our table, lunches are crazy... we have had to make our table 3 tables big because there are so many people. We've also had to fit 3 to a bench when there are only supposed to be 2. But all in all, we all have a great time and just have a good time together. I love my friends... :)
My family... well what can I say?! Best EVER!! My close family and extended!! Whenever we have family get-togethers, everyone always has a good time. I always look forward to family parties, or even just spending time with my own family!!! I love my family more than words can say....!!
Haha I have nothing else to write about... DRILL PRACTICES START IN A WEEK :D bye.

Soul Sisters!!!
So we were at my aunt & uncle's house tonight with our whole family from my dad's side, and I hung out a lot with my 5 year old cousin, Camille. Such a cutie!!! I love her like... like... like my soul sister! Haha. Long story, I'll make it shorter though. Well, it all started about a year ago. I was about to babysit my cousins Camille and Tyson when my aunt Amy turned to me and said, "You know, Camille has been calling you her soul sister!!". So I asked, "Soul sister?? Why is that?" She told me that Camille has always wanted an older sister, and since she's the oldest, she made ME her soul sister!! :) how sweet is that?!?! Ever since, me and Camille have been buds. I love her to death!! And I realized that even more tonight.
