Today's my 15th birthday! Isn't that just crazy?! Well. I think it is. Anyways, today's been great so far!! I woke up at 8:30, woke my mom up at 9 to open presents, then I showered and played rock band with Nick and Syd. Ooooh... I got this really nice digital camera, it's way cool!! I also got clothes (: And two really cute skirts! I got a piggy bank (: It's very cute. Then, I got two ds games and two movies (Mr. Mom and The Cutting Edge). AND!! I got the Camp Rock soundtrack, because I'm a nerd and love Camp Rock (:

Today is going to be a pretty busy day.. I have to get ready and pack for girls camp, and finish my little cute things I'm making for my girls (: I made really cute notes, and I'm making bracelets (Mali if you're reading this, don't tell the other girls! (: ). I'm so excited for camp, even though it's shorter because of the 4th of July. I also might get my hair done... might... if Amy doesn't have too much going on (:

Anyways... I'm 15!! It doesn't feel any different. Just the same (:

Boredomness!

So I'm pretty bored... it's been a kinda boring day so far... so I thought I'd post about my boring day of boringness. Now you know that I, Makenzie Carbine, am bored and you can read this really boring post of boredomness so you too can be bored like me.

Haha anyways... today was the herriman parade and my birthday party at my grandmas (: I'm going back in a few hours, but so far, it's been quite a fun day. I got to hang with my soul sister (5 year old cousin Camille), I got to eat candy, and I got to play "no more monkeys jumping on the bed" with my little cousins!! Quite fun I must say (:

My day....

Today has been a mixed day.... at one point, it was great.... at the dentist, it was horrible. Haha. Well... before last year, I had a perfect "no cavity" record. That then was ruined when I had my first cavity... worst day of my life... jk but it was bad... when he started drilling, it started hurting, which isn't supposed to happen... so he numbed me again... and again... and again.... until finally, it barely hurt when he drilled. I hated that day. Anyways... today, I go to the dentist and as he's checking my teeth... he says "I think you've been kissing too many boys (never EVER have in my life.. haha just thought I'd point that out...) because you have two cavities!". Ha.. I freaked out a bit. I don't like cavities so much...

But!! On a better note, today at practice, we got a little surprise. Our coach Aubrey came in and said "Girls guess what?! I have a surprise!" We were all a little scared... it could be a good surprise, or a bad surprise. She then went on to tell us that if we worked extra hard today, we could have tomorrow off!! Literally, all the girls started screaming!! We were already tired today, and to hear we'd get a day off, we were very very happy. So instead of practice, we're going swimming at 9:30 :D I DON'T HAVE TO WAKE UP AT 5:30!!!! Haha.

Anyways... girls camp is in a few days, and my birthday is in 4!! YAHOO!!! 15 baby!!

Girls Camp!

Well girls camp is coming up... and I'm very excited this year!! On Wednesday at our activity, our camp director, Sis. Hancock, came up to me and said she needed to ask me a question. She said that there aren't enough 5th year girls to help with all the tents, there are 3 fifth years and there are 4 tents. Well... I'm the only 4th year in my ward... SO! I'm in charge of one of the tents this year!! :) It's going to be way fun, one of my best friends is in my tent and is willing to help with scripture study every night!! We also have two first year girls, which should be SO fun because it's their first time being there!! I'm way way WAY excited now!! And, I'm also in charge of directing a camp activity in my ward!! :) Let's just say my 4th year of girls camp is going to be FANTASTIC!!!

On to other news... my birthday is in one week pretty much!! I, Makenzie Carbine, being of 14 years old, will officially be 15 years old!! Me?! CRAZY!!! Am I right?! That means in 1 year, I'll be able to drive AND date! Crazy much?! Yeah... I don't think the road is ready for this girl... jk!!

One more week of drill, then I have a month off!! YAHOO!!! I'm still gonna have to work my butt off during that month, but hey, I'll get to sleep in a bit longer! :) I'll post again soon...

I'm Alive!!

I survived my first week of Summer Drill.... I honestly wasn't sure if I could! Waking up at 5:45, dancing for 5 hours straight, and to top it all off.... I think I broke my toe on Tuesday! I didn't tell anyone til yesterday... let's just say I started crying it hurt so much! So my toe nail might fall off now... but you didn't need to know that... haha :) I think the hardest part of summer drill for me is the running.... everyday, before practice, we run about a mile outside. Sometimes, it's slower pace... and others its too fast for me. I felt like throwing up a few times. I'm not the best runner... but I won't let myself fall behind.... so I run the entire way. Then, we stretch. After, it's kickline :( That's one of my least favorite parts of drill, because I am bad at kicks right now. It's also very tiring. After, we do technique for 2 hours... you heard me right, 2 hours!! Then, we do conditioning... which is also very tiring. My least favorite part of conditioning is at the end of the practice when we're all tired.... our coach, Aubrey, makes us do frog jumps across the gym and back... sometimes twice. That sounds easy.. just try it! Haha. But, I'm gonna get in better shape, and I won't sleep in til 12 anymore! hahaha.... :D It's tiring... but I'm really glad I made the drill team!

Overall, California was very fun!! Other than getting sunburned (though mine was tiny compared to Alex's), we all enjoyed ourselves. Now, we're all very tired... it's like you need a vacation to get off of your vacation! I started my first week of summer drill this week!! It's not so bad now, the first day about killed me. I have to wake up at around 5:45 or so... drill starts at 7.... we get a few water breaks... and it ends at 12!! Ya... tiring... I might go take a nap :)
