I survived my first week of Summer Drill.... I honestly wasn't sure if I could! Waking up at 5:45, dancing for 5 hours straight, and to top it all off.... I think I broke my toe on Tuesday! I didn't tell anyone til yesterday... let's just say I started crying it hurt so much! So my toe nail might fall off now... but you didn't need to know that... haha :) I think the hardest part of summer drill for me is the running.... everyday, before practice, we run about a mile outside. Sometimes, it's slower pace... and others its too fast for me. I felt like throwing up a few times. I'm not the best runner... but I won't let myself fall behind.... so I run the entire way. Then, we stretch. After, it's kickline :( That's one of my least favorite parts of drill, because I am bad at kicks right now. It's also very tiring. After, we do technique for 2 hours... you heard me right, 2 hours!! Then, we do conditioning... which is also very tiring. My least favorite part of conditioning is at the end of the practice when we're all tired.... our coach, Aubrey, makes us do frog jumps across the gym and back... sometimes twice. That sounds easy.. just try it! Haha. But, I'm gonna get in better shape, and I won't sleep in til 12 anymore! hahaha.... :D It's tiring... but I'm really glad I made the drill team!
