Cousins

Today, we went to my grandma's house to celebrate my dad's birthday and my brother's birthday.


It was so much fun!! (: I got to see my cousin, Brett, who I haven't seen in a while.


He is still his same ol' self.


He makes me laugh so hard!!


It was so fun visiting with him, and being able to see him after so long.


When it was time to leave, we all got together to take a picture of all the cousins.

I'm going to miss Brett so much!! It was so great seeing him and having the whole family here again.

The Azurettes 1st Sleepover

I'm soooooo sleepy!!
Last night was the funnest night of my life! Haha.
It was so much fun. It was at Jacqui's house, and we had one of those giant bouncy slide rentals. We all played on that for so long, it was like we were kids again. I did belly flops down a lot, it was loads of fun. Brittni did a front flip!! But... on the down side.... after I got off the slide, my toe nail fell off :O. It looks really gross... but it doesn't hurt anymore!! :)
Then we ate dinner and snacked a bunch.
Then, we each got a candle, and when it was dark enough we went around the circle saying something we're looking forward to this year and then we lit the next person's candle. It was so cool, I think we got even closer as a team. Then we said our theme "Let's Make It Happen", and blew them out at the same time.
Then we went to "watch a movie"... haha it started out as everyone, then, one by one, the returning members left all the firsties by ourselves.
We knew initiation was coming. :D
IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!
Hahaha. They did their version of ooga booga, and since I already had the ooga booga experience at girls camp, I knew what was coming. But I played along anyways and got my bum wet. Haha.
Jacqui was hilarious!! She was Chief Ooga Booga. They kinda scared me at first.... they all were so serious, I couldn't help but laugh. Then they got mad and said laughing isn't allowed... so I tried to hold back my laughter. But it was hard, because they were all so funny.
AND THEY VIDEO TAPED US!! That's not cool, am I right?! So now, everyone will see our embarrassment. Haha.
After initiation, we went to bed at around 3 in the morning. Then, because people had to leave early, everyone woke up around 8. 5 hours of sleep isn't enough after a hard week of drill!! I feel very sleepy... I'm definitely going to take a loooooong nap today.
But anyways.
I'm really glad I didn't quit drill.
All our hard work is already paying off, and we've gotten closer as a team.
A to the Z to the U to the R to the ETTES, AZURETTES!! WOO!!!

Ow.

So we learned most of our hip hop today & yesterday.
One word:
OUCH!!
It's so hard on our backs!!! I seriously feel like someone kicked my back so hard that it's bruised forever.... if that makes sense... haha.
But it's way cool!!!
At the beginning of our hip hop, it says:
"Ladies and gentlemen!! For your halftime viewing pleasure, please welcome.... THE DRILL TEAM!!!" Haha.
We were going to use the whole song... but it's bad. So we used the cool beginning :D
YAY!
I'm in 3/3 dances so far, and that isn't including homecoming!! YAY!
But... dance routine I'm worried about...
I'm NOT good with stylized dance.
So... I might not make that one... but the world will go on :)
I'll live! haha.
Anyways....
Tomorrow is our SLEEPOVER!!!!!!!
YAY!!!
I'm a bit worried.... we have to go through "drill team initiation"... whatever that might be.
Hmm...... if I come back alive, i'll be sure to post about it!!!

BREAKING DAWN!

So.

I started Breaking Dawn yesterday!!

I'm at about page 452. ish.

IT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a bit shocked....

But I won't spoil anything.

What is it about this book that's so great??

It would have to be Edward!!!!

Haha me and Emily got in a fight about who's better..... Edward or Emmett.... well...

Day 5 of Azurette Week!!!!!!!

I SURVIVED!!! I'M ALIVE!!!!!
I, Makenzie Carbine, survived probably the hardest week of drill!!
I mean, 7 hour practices.... kickline everyday...... it gets tough.
But I made it. and i'm still standing!!!
Well.... sitting.
It hurts to walk haha.
Today, we aren't doing anything.
BUT some of the moms brought us lunch.
And we got to paint at the end :O
We made posters for the yard sale.
Anyways....
Azurette week is over!!!
Ish....
One more day really.
We're doing an Azurette Yard Sale tomorrow at 7 to 2.
I'll post about that after (:

Day 4 of Azurette Week. (late)

Well.... last night was day 4.

Practice was AMAZING!!!! Haha.

At about 1, our coach told us to come over and talk...

I wasn't expecting her to let us out early!!
So we got out of practice an hour early...

IT WAS GREAT.

Then, we went to see Mamma Mia.....

Personally, I didn't like it at all.

I wouldn't recommend it.

Too much singing.

And the plot line was really weird.....

It was fun to make fun of though... haha.

On one of the songs, it says "I don't want to talk right now"...

And my friend Tori said "Then stop talking!"

It was so funny.

Anyways....

Today we're not doing anything... but i'll still post about the last day.
