Drill Team

First week of drill team, complete!! :) Wow am I TIRED!! I've had to juggle regular dance o n Thurday (including teaching on Monday's), drill team practice (Tuesday through Friday), and I just got home from a competition in Provo. Let's see... that is 6 out of 7 days of DANCE!! Ya... it's my life. :)

Let me just tell you how much harder drill really is. We run on the track before every practice, then when we're done, we practice kick line (which takes a lot of stomach strength!!). After, we go across the floor. Then we do turn combinations, fuettes, ballet (holds on releve, ya, they hurt!!), & then the "fun" begins.

Every day, we switch off with a work out "routine". Some days it's sit ups and crunches for stomach strength, others it's arm exercises, and others it's leg exercises. And we usually do them for a whole song. It gets painful and extremely tiring.

The best part is at the end, when we're so tired and have to do frog jumps across the gym and back. That sounds easy... wait til you try it. THEY KILL YOUR THIGHS!! Haha.

I love my new team though... 26 great, happy girls. We all get along pretty darn good!!

Best Day EVER!!!!

Alrighty, I'm a huge David Archuleta fan as most of you know, and since he was coming here today, my friend Kaitlyn and I decided to go to Murray High and actually hear him sing and see him!! K, MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Haha. So we got there, and we had to park WAY far away. It was a LONG!! walk. But it was totally worth it. When we got to the school, we went up in the bleachers in the football field and stood out on the end (there were literally no seats!). Big Budda was there and he was counting down the minutes til David got there (which was totally a lie cuz we SAW his limmo drive past us and HE was in it!!!).

Then, he came in. It was a parade, and he was in a convertible. IT WAS AMAZING!! Not a lot of people were screaming at first, so my friends and I started yelling his name... over and over and OVER again!! Finally, he turned and looked DIRECTLY at us!! DIRECTLY!!!!! He flashed his beautiful, heart melting smile, and waved. AT US!!

Then, after the parade was over, he went up on the stage with the mayor of Murray and the governor. They announced that May 9, 2008 would officially be David Archuleta day!! :) I like that. & then, he spoke to us. He was SO humble and SO sweet. He thanked us about a bazillion times!! How cute is he?! Then, HE SANG!! 3 TIMES!! I was screaming and jumping and watching him. He is SO much cuter in person!!! When it was over, he was crying. It was way way way cute!!! Then, we left :( I was disappointed I couldn't give him a hug.... haha.

BUT!! My friend DID get amazing pictures with her digital camera, and as soon as she sends them to me, I'm posting them on here. So stay tuned (grin).

BTW.... wear orange and black.... those are Murray's colors!!! :D

Singin' In the Rain!

K. So today after seminary, it started raining. Since we have to ride a bus from school to seminary and then back, we sometimes get to school early or late. Today, we were early. Since it was raining, my friend Kaitlyn and I both went running through it and at the same time, we started singing 'I'm singing in the rain...' I'm sure you've all heard that song. We were having a blast!! Then, after school, I went to her house so she could help me study for my test in math, and afterwards we jumped on her tramp in pouring rain!! CAN I TELL YOU HOW FUN THAT IS?! Haha. Today was a good day... a really good day!

In other news... my darling dearest Supa' (Oakcrest counselor) is getting MARRIED on SATURDAY!! :D I'm so beyond happy for her and I'm going to her reception. Very excited. :D She's getting married to her missionary, Andy! :) They are very cute together.

And in other news... end of year testing starts tomorrow!! DANG!! Well I guess it's a good thing... it means it's the end of the year. That's awesome!

David Archuleta!!!!

K... I don't watch American Idol that much.... but, I did find out that David Archuleta is an AMAZING singer AND!!! he is pretty darn cute.. am I right?! :) I really hope he wins, because he's such a cool kid and I think he is just great!! VOTE FOR DAVID ARCHULETA!!!!! :D :D :D

These are MY kind of people!

Well, I can't sleep, so I thought I'd post tonight. I've heard that blogging is good for the soul... (grin) :)

This post is dedicated to my friends and family!! I've got the best in the world!! And I'm lucky to have each and every one of them!!!

My friends and I all get along, and we can laugh about just about everything!! At our table, lunches are crazy... we have had to make our table 3 tables big because there are so many people. We've also had to fit 3 to a bench when there are only supposed to be 2. But all in all, we all have a great time and just have a good time together. I love my friends... :)

My family... well what can I say?! Best EVER!! My close family and extended!! Whenever we have family get-togethers, everyone always has a good time. I always look forward to family parties, or even just spending time with my own family!!! I love my family more than words can say....!!

Haha I have nothing else to write about... DRILL PRACTICES START IN A WEEK :D bye.

Soul Sisters!!!

So we were at my aunt & uncle's house tonight with our whole family from my dad's side, and I hung out a lot with my 5 year old cousin, Camille. Such a cutie!!! I love her like... like... like my soul sister! Haha. Long story, I'll make it shorter though. Well, it all started about a year ago. I was about to babysit my cousins Camille and Tyson when my aunt Amy turned to me and said, "You know, Camille has been calling you her soul sister!!". So I asked, "Soul sister?? Why is that?" She told me that Camille has always wanted an older sister, and since she's the oldest, she made ME her soul sister!! :) how sweet is that?!?! Ever since, me and Camille have been buds. I love her to death!! And I realized that even more tonight.

I'm alive..

Haha I haven't posted in a LONG time, so I decided to. Well... nothing that new in my life... except I MADE DRILL TEAM!!! I'M AN AZURETTE!! yayayaya.. I am excited, let's just put it that way :)

School is almost out!! I remember last year, I was so happy the year was over, but I'm actually pretty bummed out that it's almost over. I'm going to miss my best friend! :( I LOVE YOU EMILY! haha.

Hmm.... nothing to do. I should be studying for a math test.... but it's not too late.
